<p>数据中心快速升级到25、40甚至100 Gb速率，以支持虚拟服务器数量的快速增加，从而容纳比以往更多的应用以及需要访问、发送和存储的大量数据。同时，LAN中高速传输数据的需求也达到前所未有的高度，包括有线和无线连接。尽管大学和金融机构等大型企业已经升级了其LAN骨干网，但仍有大量其他机构才刚刚意识到1 Gb速率显然不能满足要求。现在散发的大多数资料信息都集中在将数据中心的光纤设施升级到支持40 Gb和100 Gb速率，但我们认为现在才升级到10 Gb的用户不应该被遗忘，并且会从重新审视关键事项中获益。</p>

<p><strong>降低损耗</strong></p>

<p>除了光纤类型和距离外，能够真正说明骨干光纤是否支持10 Gb速率的关键参数是<span class='wp_keywordlink'><a href="http://www.faxytech.com/archives/insertion-loss.html" title="衰减">衰减</a></span>。通过该参数，我们能够知道一个端对端通道中的信号损耗达到多少，并且强度仍然足以支持应用。</p>
<p>尽管有些安装方在1 Gb系统时凭侥幸没有计算衰减，但当我们向10 Gb速率升级时，这种做法不可取。10 Gb通道的最大衰减量已经从1 Gb应用时的3.5dB降为2.6dB (850 nm OM3光纤)。衰减与许多因素有关——发送器中使用的光源、电缆类型、通道总长度、连接及接头的数量和质量。对损耗影响最大以及妨碍10 Gb速率支持能力的最常见原因是光纤端面污染。电信机房并不总是最清洁的环境，夹在光纤端面之间的任何灰尘或碎屑都会造成信号损耗、背向反射甚至损害设备。无论哪种类型的光纤，正确的光纤清洁和检查都是确保支持10 Gb所不可缺少的一部分。</p>

This makes a physical contact with the test reference cord. As a result, you cannot insert SC/APC connectors in the OUTPUT port of the tester. <p><strong>APC – Angled Physical Contact</strong><br />
These connectors are color coded green and are found in single mode fiber applications. The end face is slanted 8 degrees. The slight angle reduces back reflections in the core because the reflections are absorbed into the cladding. With CertiFiber Pro, you will need two hybrid UPC to APC cords and two APC to APC cords. <p><strong>UPC – Ultra Physical Contact</strong><br />
These connectors are color coded blue for single mode and beige for multimode. The end face of the fiber has an apex so the core makes direct contact to the other core in a mated connection. A PC (Physical Contact) connector has a flat end face increasing the likelihood that an air gap will be present because the cladding can touch before the core does due to its less rounded end face geometry. That air gap with result in an increase in reflectance &#8211; something fiber systems do not want to see.</p>

<p>PC指的是紧密接触（physical contact)，同样是紧密接触，根据<span class='wp_keywordlink'><a href="http://www.faxytech.com/archives/return_loss.html" title="回波损耗">回波损耗</a></span>的不同，连接器分为PC, SPC，UPC和APC。SPC指的是super physical contact, UPC指的是ultra physical contact。PC, SPC和UPC工业标准规定的回波损耗分别为-35dB, -40dB和-50dB (回波损耗是指有多少比例的光又被连接器的端面反射，回波损耗越小越好，当然你也可以说回波损耗的值越大越好，不考虑前面那个负号）。不同的连接器原则上不能混接，但PC, SPC和UPC的光纤端面都是平面的，差别在磨的质量，所以，PC,SPC和UPC的混连还不至于对连接器形成永久性的物理损伤。<br />
APC则完全不同，它的端面被磨成一个8度角，就是减少反射，其工业标准的回波损耗为-60dB。APC连接器只能与APC相连接。由于APC的结构与PC完全不同，如果用法兰盘将这两种连接器连接，就会损坏连接器的光纤端面。连接APC到PC的办法：通过PC到APC转换的光纤跳线来实现。另外要说明的是APC连接器通常是绿色的（而黄色的光纤则只是单模光纤），而且人眼就能看到光纤端面的倾斜。<br />
因此，为了避免实验过程中连接器使用的混乱（避免毁坏光谱仪等输入端口），今后我们在购买激光器，跳线等时，应统一要求厂家给配APC连接器。<br />
FC/PC FC/UPC FC/APC能够混合连接，信号<span class='wp_keywordlink'><a href="http://www.faxytech.com/archives/insertion-loss.html" title="衰减">衰减</a></span>不会很大，按照国标插损应该是小于0.5dB。应用主要取决于适配器的类型，一般通信ODF架用FC多，设备光口用SC多，ST在局域网和广电较多。</p>

<p>负损耗表示光纤链路不光没有损耗，反而还有“增益”&#8212;当然这是不真实的。主要原因来自于以下各种偏差和误差。</p>
<p>其一，在光源端口，光能量不都是 100%射入测试跳线中的，其“耦合效率”的高低与端口结构的几何尺寸和几何偏差有关，且与测试跳线插头的几何尺寸的“偏差”也有关。所以，归零以后一般不允许再插拔测试跳线，否则会破坏端口耦合效率，如若不小心拔出了跳线，则必须重新归零，只有这样才能避免增大测试误差。对短链路而言，归零后插拔端口跳线会令损耗增加或“减少”&#8212;这导致出现测试结果为“负损耗”的现象。</p>
<p>其二，如果归零时跳线端面附着有纤维屑或灰尘，但归零后脱落，也可能会出现“负损耗”。</p>

<p>第三，开机未预热就归零，因仪器工作参数漂移而出现“负损耗”。一般建议预热5 分钟，温差较大时应预热 10 分钟。</p>
<p>第四，归零时跳线插拔不到位(损耗偏大)。</p>
<p>第五，如果归零用的耦合器本身偏差较大(比如轴向对准偏差较大)，则归零后测试短链路时也可能会出现负损耗。</p>
<p>第六，劣质测试跳线或跳线本身不稳定。</p>

<p>光纤测试要符合TIA-568-C、ISO/IEC-11801和ISO/IEC14673-3等国际公认标准的要求，以便确保高质量安装。</p>
<p><strong>选择适用的工具</strong></p>

<li>在两个方向自动测量双芯光纤，首选光纤损耗测试仪(OLTS)。</li>
<li>手动，测量单根光纤通路，可选光源/功率计(LSPM)套件和可视故障定位仪。</li>

<p><strong>1</strong><strong>级光纤认证步骤</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>测试之前，利用一根测试参考线(TRC)、一根损耗已知(可以忽略不计)的转接线将稳定的光源连接至功率计</li>
<li>设置和记录光源的参考功率水平，并将其作为随后进行的功率损耗测量的基线</li>
<li>断开功率计上的TRC，将第二根TRC连接至功率计端口。利用精密的隔板接头将两根TRC连接在一起</li>
<li>测量损耗，确保TRC良好（多模，≤0.15 dB；单模，≤ 0.25 dB），并保存测试</li>
<li>断开隔板接头，连接被测链路，测量损耗</li>
<li>OLTS将依据标准和被测长度显示“合格”或“不合格”结果。LSPM将只测量损耗（需要手动计算限值和裕量）</li>
</ul>

	　　&ldquo;交换机、服务器、存储设备之间可以看做是一个三角结构。根据数据结构的不同，对于光纤或是铜缆都有着不同的需求。&rdquo;对此，福禄克网络在北美地区的一份调查显示，在错误的标准选择下，100根线缆大约有7根线缆需要返工。返工将影响一个月45工时，对于项目承包商来说损失的不仅是返工的成本，同时也影响了用户的口碑。吴世军对此做了进一步的说明：测试的意义不在于网络的通或不通，而是能否真正达到设计的负载量。&ldquo;设计足够跑高清视频的带宽只用文本传输来测试，等到真正上了业务线缆问题就暴露无遗了。&rdquo;

	　　在这一点上，福禄克网络将丰田公司的精益管理系统引入了新一代的Versiv布线认证产品系列中，有效的提升测试准确性。&ldquo;用户在测试之前就可以知悉如何设置标准、相应的参考值以及测试方法，这就避免在真正测试时候造成错误。&rdquo;吴世军强调，错误的测试结果往往会导致错误的验收结果。而现在，Versiv可以在测试前根据网络架构协助用户做好相应的准备：&ldquo;计划是第一步，要测多少根线，选择哪些操作员负责万兆的核心层测试、哪些操作员负责千兆的接入层测试;配置是第二步，核心层的测试光纤标准选择，接入层的测试铜缆标准选择，自动匹配相应参考值。&rdquo;

	　　以往，测试仪器就是测试仪器，携带笔记本电脑配合做好项目管理是必不可少的。&ldquo;测试人员每天也许要跑几个地点，而测试设备也许要经手几个人，如果不能在测试完成后立刻将数据导出，那么等待他们的通常就是未存数据被覆盖。&rdquo;而新一代Versiv在项目管理上的特性对于国内的多人、多项目共用一台设备的普遍现状来说不可谓不贴心。

	　　&ldquo;现在的Versiv可以说是一体化结构，把一个项目分为七个流程，从开始的计划、设置、测试直到最后的报告生成，七步走全部由一台仪器完成。&rdquo;此外，吴世军表示客户对于新一代Versiv的最多反馈就是易用性提高了。&ldquo;以前的产品是拨表按键方式，十几个键需要手动去调整;现在的Versiv则是触摸屏搭配一键测试。&rdquo;新一代Versiv产品采用了模块化设计的方式，测试人员只需要携带一台设备及相应模块即可完成对铜缆、光纤、乃至无线网络的测试。

	　　面对新的标准和技术，福禄克网络还做出了哪些变化？&ldquo;随着带宽的变大，同样的线缆要跑上更高的速度，这也意味着更高的质量。对于我们的设备来说，在带宽和精度上都要跟上，我们已经从四级精度上升到五级精度了。&rdquo;据吴世军介绍，为保证集成商或施工方能更快的完成测试项目，福禄克网络还大大提高了测试速度。&ldquo;以前6A的线缆测试需要20秒钟，现在同样的测试只需要10秒钟。&rdquo;换句话说，完成同样的工作量，现在施工方只需要更少的员工;而触摸屏带来的更高易用性，也使得施工方不必花过多的时间用来做培训。这些因素都为施工方创造了更大的利润空间。
